"We are honored to have been selected for this new program, helping HRSA and the CDC meet one of the objectives of the White House National Strategy for the COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness. This program will ensure the nation’s underserved communities and those disproportionately affected by COVID-19 are equitably vaccinated against this COVID-19,” said Andrew Conn, Chief Operating Officer of National Government Services. “In addition to expanding our portfolio of trusted government partnerships, this new contract gives our empowered associates an opportunity to make a difference in the fight against COVID-19 and fully aligns with our company’s mission to improve lives and communities as we work to address factors driving disparities in our healthcare system."
HRSA-supported health centers are community-based and patient-directed organizations that deliver affordable, accessible, quality, and cost-effective primary health care to medically underserved communities and disproportionately affected populations, including high-need urban, rural, and frontier communities across the United States. Nationwide, over 1,400 HRSA-supported health centers operate more than 14,000 sites, providing primary and preventative care on a sliding fee scale to over 30 million patients each year. Over 91 percent of health center patients are individuals or families living at or below 200percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and nearly 63 percent are racial/ethnic minorities.
